Short Biography (English)
Voda is an original trio founded in 2014 in Kraków, Poland by guitarist & singer Radek Kopeć.
The band associated with rock music quickly surprised the audience with their debut album Onerare (Aedificium 2015). The album included complex, ambitious compositions (i.e. a string quartet hooking up with modern classical music) combined with the uncompromising energy of rock, and showed the artistic horizon the band would follow in the future. Onerare received very good reviews in the Polish press and was highly acclaimed by audiences and fans.
Voda confirmed its strong position on the market with the second album Amphibia (Aedificium 2019), which mainly includes songs created during numerous live tours (so far Voda has played over 300 concerts throughout Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Germany and Great Britain).
During the pandemic, Voda did not give up and decided to perform a series of online live concerts for their fans. One of them – Live in Kraków – showed the musicians in a different entourage (they played grand piano and double bass on some songs). It was recorded and released as the third album – a double CD+DVD called Parallaxis (Aedificium 2020).
In 2021 and 2022 the band toured in Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Luxembourg. In December Voda released a brand new album – Endorphinum Aquatum (Aedificium 2022) which is the band’s third studio album. The record includes songs such as Rats!, 7Leaf Clover, Oh, My Diamond and Anonymuse, and received great reviews in the foreign press.
Throughout the whole of 2023, Voda promoted the album during a major tour in Europe and the UK (HRH Festival Sheffield, Waterloo Blackpool, Cavern Liverpool, Temple of Art and Music London, etc.).
In 2024, Voda celebrated 10 years of existence with a series of anniversary concerts with special guests – musicians from previous lineups and friends.
2025 was very successful as Voda toured twice in Slovakia, played for the first time in Austria, flew to UK as a part of nomination for the Best International Band by HRH Festival and did great German&Luxembourg tour (the best one to date as musicians say) in December. Set list consisted of a new material that the band started to record for the brand new album.
This year seems to be pretty demanding, with forthcoming album’s premiere, another tour in Germany set for the spring and some live performances and other activities.
We are very happy that throughout these all years Voda has always remained committed to artistic quality while staying faithful to improvised rock music. This remains the foundation of the trio’s artistic search and its trademark in 2026.

Voda to trio założone w Krakowie przez gitarzystę Radka Kopcia.
Zespół kojarzony z muzyką rockową szybko zaskoczył słuchaczy swym debiutanckim krążkiem Onerare (Aedificium 2015). Album, który zawiera rozbudowane, ambitne kompozycje (np. kwartet smyczkowy zahaczający o współczesną awangardę klasyczną), cechujący się zarazem bezkompromisową energią rocka, ukazał artystyczny horyzont, w kierunku którego zespół będzie podążał w przyszłości. Onerare zebrał bardzo dobre opinie w prasie oraz wśród publiczności i fanów.
Voda potwierdziła swą mocną pozycję na rynku albumem Amphibia (Aedificium 2019), który w większości zawierał utwory skomponowane podczas licznych tras koncertowych (dotychczas Voda zagrała ponad 300 koncertów w Polsce, Słowacji, Czechach, na Litwie, w Niemczech, Niderlandach, Belgii oraz w Wielkiej Brytanii).
Podczas pandemii zespół nie dał za wygraną i zdecydował się odbyć serię koncertów online. Jeden z nich, zagrany w Dworku Białoprądnickim, przedstawił muzyków w częściowo odmiennym instrumentarium (fortepian, kontrabas). Został on nagrany i wydany jako trzeci, podwójny album CD+DVD Parallaxis (Aedificium 2020).
W latach 2021 i 2022 trio grało trasy koncertowe w Niemczech, Francji, Belgii, Czechach, Słowacji, Holandii i Luksemburgu. W grudniu kolejnego roku ukazał się trzeci studyjny album Endorphinum Aquatum (Aedificium 2022), który zawiera takie kompozycje jak Rats!, 7Leaf Clover, Oh My Diamond oraz Anonymuse.
Przez cały rok 2023 trwała trasa promująca wydawnictwo w różnych zakątkach Europy – koncerty m.in. na festiwalu HRH Prog w Sheffield, The Musician w Leicester, Waterloo w Blackpool, Cavern w Liverpoolu czy Temple of Art and Music w Londynie.
W 2024 roku Voda świętowała swoje 10. urodziny, grając specjalne koncerty z zaproszonymi gośćmi, muzykami z poprzednich składów jak i przyjaciółmi.
Również i poprzedni rok był bardzo udany, zespół odwiedził dwukrotnie Słowację, zagrał po raz pierwszy w Austrii, poleciał specjalnie do Wielkiej Brytanii na wyjątkowe wydarzenia połączone również z nominacją Voda przez festiwal HRH na najlepszy zespół spoza UK. Rok 2025 Voda zakończyła świetnie przyjętym tournee po Niemczech i Luxemburgu.
2026 wydaje się być bardzo wymagający, Vodę czeka premiera nadchodzącego albumu, zabukowane koncerty w Europie jak i cała trasa promocyjna krążka.
To już lata oddania jakości artystycznej przy jednoczesnej wierności rozimprowizowanej muzyce rockowej. Cieszymy się, że ta formuła pozostaje niezmiennie znakiem rozpoznawczym zespołu VODA.
